One Man’s Vision is about sharing the story behind Henshaws, along with those of the many people who over the years have been part of that story. That’s why we’re inviting you to get involved. If you’ve used Henshaws services, or had relatives that have, then we’d love to hear from you about the impact it had on your life. As well as sharing stories you could also get involved by volunteering at the exhibition and attending events.
At Henshaws we pride ourselves on being a local, community charity and offer lots of ways for people to get involved with supporting our work. Here’s some of the ways you can help:
People volunteer their time and skills in a huge variety of ways, from helping out at events, running our social clubs, working in the office and helping with One Man’s Vision.
Take part in a sponsored run or challenge event
We buy places in a number of different events throughout the year, from zip slides to outdoor swims and runs.
Organise an event
Get your company, school or community group involved in organising a fundraising event. We can even come and give them a talk about Henshaws to get them motivated!
You can donate on line by visiting our Just Giving page.
As a registered charity Henshaws runs its services through a variety of fundraised income and as such the support of our communities is vital to our work. We’d like to thank all those individuals and organisations who have helped us to continue supporting blind and visually impaired people over the past 175 years – we couldn’t have done it without you.
